IILM University Alumni Association
Alumni networks are organizations made up of College’s Graduates/Post Graduates. ILM University have dedicated alumni affairs Staff/faculty. Regardless, the network maintains an alumni directory listing each graduate’s career, residence, and contact information. These organizations aren’t exclusive to the undergraduate and grad schools, by the way. Members of Alumni association organize networking events, publish newsletters or magazines, support fundraising efforts for their institution, and serve as exemplars of their institution.
After successful completion of UG/PG course from IILM University, IILMU students are enrolled in IILMU Alumni Association with lifelong connection. IILMU Alumni network is most valuable alumni connection at the global level.
IILMU Alumni provides continuous guidance for better career prospects through knowledge sharing experiences; add more feathers of success to an individual personality. Apart from this, one gets an opportunity to participate in different knowledge imparting session through speaker series, visiting & guest faculty. It assists a lot in grooming the future corporate heads.

IILMU alumni association organises Alumni meet/Networking events in campus and off campus at least once every year. IILM University, Gurugram is proud to have a huge network of over 13000 alumni who are professionally well-placed in various capacities across industries both in India and abroad. They have risen to high ranks and hold excellent positions in reputed companies. IILM University, Gurugram has an “IILM University, Gurugram Alumni Association “which is in registered Haryana Registration & Regulation of Societies act 2012 under certificate Ref no HR/018/2022/02616.
Objective of Association
- To promote & foster mutually beneficial interaction between the alumni & the present students of IILM University, Gurugram & between alumni themselves.
- To encourage the alumni to take an active & abiding interest in the work & progress of the Institute, so as to contribute towards the enhancement of the social utility of their alma mater.
Alumnus Engagement through the association is dedicated to bringing together the alumni community on a common platform to build another channel of personal and professional support to members. Highly experienced alumni are invited on campus to share their experience with the students and faculty members. Such activities provide the students a chance to demonstrate their leadership competencies. The following initiative help the Alumnus add value to the University as well as enhance their career.
Alma Connect Portal: The Alma connect portal is a platform to connect with faculty members, existing students and other alumni.Alumnus Mentoring: This is an initiative taken by the University where each student gets an alumni mentor based upon their area of specialization or the sector where they would like to work. It is through the experiences of the mentors that the student learns a lot.
Involvement of Alumni
IILM strives to engage with the Alumni in various ways. They are invited to interact with students to guide and motivate them about careers or to deliver guest lectures on topics of their expertise. They are consulted on industry specific workshops being organized to hone the students’ skills. They also become Alumni Mentors for students, thus providing them with first-hand knowledge and experienced advice along with a platform for networking. They are invited to sit on panels to conduct SIP viva and/or judge SIP reports and become a part of our Board of Governors. IILM also organizes Annual Alumni Meet on campus; an alumnus at IILM is a very integral part of its alma mater. Every alumnus shares an emotional bond with its alma mater and the education imparted to the alumni by peers and faculty members helps in shaping their personality and character.
Alumni Meets
IILM University also organizes ‘Annual Alumni Meet’ on campus for the reunion and interaction among IILM alumni, faculty and students. It also awards the Distinguished Alumni Award for each year to notable alumni as recognition of their contribution towards their respective professional domains.
IILM University organised a mini Alumni reunion for Batch of 2005-07 on Saturday 17th December 2022. It was attended by 17 alumni who shared their Life experiences with Current students.
They cherished their two years spent in IILM.
IILM University organized its Alumni Meet ‘23 on Saturday 7th January 2023. It was graced by 57 successful alumni who shared their experience and nostalgic memories of college days. It gave the existing students an opportunity to network with alumni. Vice Chancellor Dr Sujata Shahi welcomed the first two batches of University (2018-20 & 2019-21) and updated them on existing and upcoming University Development plans.
Mr Madhur Agarwal 2018-20 Alumni was felicitated with Outstanding Alumni award. Madhur is an entrepreneur & a finance content creator, started his venture while he was in IILM & have built a brand from scratch.
The event included thrilling dance, songs, Skit, Comic act and a Ramp walk followed by networking dinner in the end.
Involvement in Curriculum Development
Curriculum feedback is taken from the alumni/recruiter during module plan preparation and review to ensure that the curriculum is at par with the industry requirements. The curriculum content is vetted from industry experts and alumni from different industries and sectors to ensure that it is updated and relevant to the industry requirements.
Mentoring of students: A lot of times, the students get to work under the alumni who acts as an industry mentor which makes the work environment very comfortable for the students They also guide the current students through their career growth.
Mr Abhishek Joshi AGM operations Radico Khaitan Alumni of 2007-09 was invited to deliver a talk on “THE SALES SAGA-MYTH VS REALITY” on Monday 27 Feb 2023.
Assistance in Placement
Alumni are invited to conduct company specific workshops for students who have applied for those companies in order to get first-hand experience and also to understand the job profile. Additionally, alumni have been instrumental in bringing live project, summer internship and final placement opportunities for the existing students.
IILM university organised Job Cum Internship Fair on 9th-10th May 2023.More than 20 Corporates participated in the Fair. Ms Jyoti Solanki Manager HR Persolkelly Alumni of 2008-10 batch participated and recruited 2 students.
Mr Anirudh Yadav Sr.Manager HR Hilton Hospitality Ltd alumni of 2007-09 recruited on student Ms Lipika (MBA-HR) for Hr executive Role.
Job opportunity was also provided Mr Shanky Batra DGM Securitas India Alumni of 2015-17 batch
Sectoral week: Major event is “SECTORAL WEEK-Campus to Corporate” which is organised very year for University First year students.
Alumni is working in different sector of economy are invited to give students the overview of the sector and tell them about Job opportunities and skills required to take job in the sector.
This year “Sectoral Week” was organised from 26-30 Sept 2022. Alumni from Hospitality, BFSI, Edutech, Research & Analytics and Alchobev sector interacted with first year students.
Cultural Events
“Dandiya nights” is one of most awaited Cultural events during Navratras. The dandiya dance is a beautiful way of re-creating the battle that took place between the Devi and the demon. It signifies the defeat of evil over good. The colourful sticks used during Dandiya represent the sword of Goddess Durga, that’s why this dance form is also known as “The Sword Dance”.
Alumni are invited with their families to enjoy the festival of Defeat of evil over good with their extended family IILMU. They interact informally with current students and play Dandiya.
Alumni are also invited to attend ‘MATA KI CHOWKI” which is organised every during same period and take blessings of Goddess Durga.
Alumni Dinner was organised on 21 April 2023 on Occasion of Inauguration of new Cafeteria. Alumni were invited with their Family to Grace the Occasion.
Campus to Corporate Sectoral Meet
2nd Sectoral Week (3-days event) was conducted by IILM University, Gurugram dedicated to advancing corporate and industry knowledge. It was an invaluable experience that allowed students to immerse myself in the latest trends, insights, and best practices in our ever-evolving business landscape. Launch of IILM University Gurugram Alumni Association Jaipur Chapter
IILM University Gurugram Alumni Association expanded its horizons on October 21, 2023, with the grand launch of the Jaipur chapter at the serene IILM Jaipur campus. The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with 23 enthusiastic alumni from various batches, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the IILM community.
The launch ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. Sujata Shah, Vice-Chancellor of IILM University, and Dr. Tripti Toor. Their presence lent an air of prestige and significance to the event, highlighting the importance of alumni networks in fostering academic and professional connections.
The event’s attendees consisted of IILM alumni from the 2016-18, 2018-20, and 2019-21 batches. Methodology to Connect with Alumni and its Implementation
- Alumni Portal: IILM University has created a portal known as the ‘Alma connect portal’. It is a platform to connect with faculty members, existing students and other alumni.
- Alumni Database: The alumni database is maintained for each batch of graduating students. The database is regularly updated to maintain contact details, current organizational affiliation and position.
- Alumni Meet: IILM University organizes Annual Alumni Meet on campus as an alumnus at IILM is a very integral part of its alma mater. The meeting provides an opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievements of notable alumni. It also helps to foster and strengthen ties among alumni and current faculty and students.
- Frequency of Meets: The alumni meet at IILM University is an annual event. IILM strives to remain connected with the alumni in various ways. They are invited to interact with students to guide and motivate them about careers. They also deliver guest lectures on topics of their expertise along with various workshops which are organized to enhance the industry specific skills of students.
