Engaging with India's Startup Ecosystem through National Platforms

IILM University participated in National Startup Day 2026, commemorating a decade of the Startup India initiative, held on 16 January 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event featured a special address by the Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodi, in the presence of Shri @piyushgoyalofficial, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, highlighting the national focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.

The University was represented by a delegation of 434 students and 10 faculty coordinators from its Gurugram, Greater Noida, and Lodhi Road campuses, across BBA, B.Tech, and MBA programmes. This participation aligns with IILM University's emphasis on experiential learning, cross-disciplinary exposure, and interaction with India's evolving startup ecosystem.

A key component of the engagement was interaction with @boatxaman (Co-founder, boAt), @riteshagar (Founder and CEO, OYO), and @about.mohit (Founder, Minimalist).

These exchanges provided practical insights into startup journeys, business scaling, brand development, and leadership approaches. Through such initiatives, IILM University continues to support the development of entrepreneurial thinking aligned with the objectives of Startup India and Viksit Bharat.
