Along with the online application, candidates must submit the Statement of Purpose (SoP) and research proposal research, outlining their intended area of research and future goals. Here is a link to submit all documents along with the application form.
Applications are assessed based on the Statement of Purpose (SoP), research proposal and eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for an interview as part of the selection process.
- Those without a NET/CAT/GMAT will appear for the IILM DAT.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview conducted by a panel of experts.
- The panel assesses the candidate’s research aptitude, academic background, and potential fit for the programme.
- Candidates must accept the offer and proceed with registration.
- They are required to submit original documents (such as PG degree, NET/SLET/CSIR scores, identification proof, etc.) for verification.
- Upon successful document verification, candidates are required to submit the semester fee as per the university’s fee structure within 15 days of receiving the admission offer..
- After fee submission and final verification, the candidate’s admission is confirmed, and they are officially enrolled in the PhD programme and proceed for pre-PhD course work (6 months).

Final Submission
Work on the thesis represents the final phase of the PhD Programme. The thesis work of the scholar to be presented before Thesis Advisory Committee (Chair- Director Research/nominated professor, one External Expert, Dean – School/Department and/or Chair PhD at School/Department, TAC members) for approval for the submission of the thesis. This should focus on providing the original contribution in the domain / discipline and the robust research design and methodology to contribute to the knowledge body.
The thesis writing can be done in two types of models
PUBLICATION REQUIREMENT
The Research undertaken by a Doctorate scholar is expected to provide sufficient basis for writing papers in refereed academic journals. One of the objectives of the PhD program is to prepare scholars for academic contribution and research. Hence the final requirement for qualifying for the title of Doctorate is to have at least two publications. It could be two peer-reviewed journal publications or a combination of one peer-reviewed journal publications and one case study publication. Peer-reviewed journal publications must be in A, B and C categories in ABDC journal ranking or ABS or journals with a Scopus/Web of Science Cite Score. The journal must not be listed as predatory by any indexing body. These publications / acceptance of publications are must before final submission of the thesis.
