The nature of know-how has been thought to be propositional in nature. In other words, it is a type of propositional knowledge. The guest speaker will be considering the problems with a propositional conception of knowhow and Kieran Setiya’s idea of know-how being an original form of knowledge. He will attempt to sketch a picture of know-how that avoids the problem of anti-luminosity while being intuitive and having a wide range of application.
