Prof. (Dr) Roshni Sengupta is Professor of Liberal Arts at the Department of Liberal Arts, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, IILM University Gurugram. She has previously taught politics, international relations, and South Asian Studies at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), India, Institute of Intercultural Studies and Institute of Middle and Far East, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland as well as at the Leiden Institute for Area Studies, Leiden University, Netherlands. Dr Roshni Sengupta was an Erasmus-IBIES Fellow at the Leiden Institute for Area Studies. Her first book Reading the Muslim on Celluloid: Bollywood, Representation and Politics was published by Primus Books in 2020 followed by several edited volumes with Routledge (2021, 2024). Having completed doctoral studies at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi in 2014, Dr Roshni Sengupta is a well-known research scholar and political commentator. She has published widely in international indexed journals, news portals, and online platforms.
