Assistant Professor
Ishita Tandon is an Assistant Professor at IILM University, Gurugram, with a strong academic foundation and over 5 years of professional experience in Cloud Computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation. Before joining academia, she worked at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where she gained extensive exposure to enterprise-scale systems, cloud deployments, and platform engineering. During her tenure, she contributed to critical initiatives in Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipeline automation, Kafka platform support, and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CloudFormation. Her industry experience at TCS honed her skills in monitoring and reliability engineering with tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana, while also strengthening her expertise in Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, and ServiceNow.
In academia, Ishita integrates this industry knowledge into her teaching, delivering lectures and hands-on labs on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps practices, and containerization. She actively mentors students on real-world projects, certifications, and placements, ensuring they are prepared for the evolving demands of the technology sector.
Her research interests include cloud identity management, automation frameworks, and AI integration with DevOps. She has published in IEEE conferences, notably presenting her work on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and the IEC approach to image generation at ISMSIT 2022. Ishita holds an M.Tech in Computing Systems and Infrastructure from BITS Pilani and a B.Tech in Cloud Computing and Virtualization from UPES, Dehradun.
By combining her industry background at TCS with her academic role, Ishita exemplifies the bridge between practice and pedagogy, inspiring students to innovate and excel in cloud-native and AI-driven technologies.
