Dr. Ajoy K. Dey is an accomplished researcher who has guided eleven doctoral candidates and published over 30 research papers. He has a unique blend of experiences as a teacher, researcher, consultant, and corporate manager. He has helped scholars from diverse fields such as strategy, supply chain, project management OB/HR, and consumer behavior to complete their theses. As a Distinguished Professor, Dr. Dey is engaged in helping IILM University, Gurugram and IILM Lodi Road, New Delhi in research, to set up a case centre, restructure the Ph. D program, and edit a research journal. In Sept 2024, Dr. Dey was elected as a ‘Director at Large’ on the Board of the North American Case Research Association (NACRA), USA for two years. His workshops on ‘Design, Delivery and Review of Teaching Cases’, ‘Theory Building with Cases’ and ‘Writing Effective Research Paper’ are quite popular. Dr. Dey was the Chairperson, of the Center for Management Case Development at BIMTECH, India for eight years (2017 – 2024), and Editor of the South Asian Journal of Business & Management Cases, a SAGE Publication. Besides teaching Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Research Methodology, his areas of expertise include guiding multidisciplinary research, case methods, and curriculum development. He has acquired expertise in a few methods, such as regression, SEM, Process Macro, Autoethnography, Hybrid Review, and Action Research. In 2021, Dr. Dey edited a book titled Case Method for Digital Natives - Teaching and Research, published by Bloomsbury. Dr. Dey is also on the EABs of Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies and Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies. He was the Chair of the Pedagogy track at the North American Case Research Association (NACRA) annual conference for the years 2021 to 2023. He is one of the Advisory Board Members of the School of Commerce, Finance, and Accountancy, Christ University, NCR Campus and a member of academic council of IILM, Lodi Road, New Delhi.
