Piyush Tiwari is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts at IILM University Gurugram. He has an experience of over 5 years of teaching in the University of Delhi (Miranda House, Hindu College and Sri Venkateswara College.) He has also worked as a Teaching Fellow at Ashoka University Sonepat. Mr. Tiwari has a passion for uncovering new histories .He is primarily interested in exploring the interface between India’s colonial history and its environmental aspects- especially animals and the rich history of hunting under colonial rule. He is also interested in exploring military histories of British India and uncovering yet to be known stories- writing in a way that makes history fun to read and not a dreary task. His recent article on hunting as a tactic of war in British India was published by Routledge in a special edition.
