Ms Ambika Verma is an industrious researcher and academician in the field of law. She has specialized in Jurisprudence, Human Rights and holds degrees from Government Law College, Mumbai University (B.A. LL. B) and NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, Telangana (LL.M). Ambika was also a PhD Fellow at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat and has submitted her doctoral thesis, “Negotiating Socio-Legal Challenges in Exile: Tibetan Diaspora in India in a State of Limbo”. With research and teaching expertise on International Refugee Law and Forced Migration Policies in South Asia (India- Tibetan Diaspora), she is also adept at Qualitative Research Methodology and protocols and believes in interdisciplinary research-based learning with the aim to go beyond existing information and dwell on queries that need further examination. Her most recent publication is “Collective Identity vs Membership Rights: Tibetans in India in a State of Limbo” and she is presently working on a collaborative research project, “India and the Global Compact for Migration – Framing the Future of Regional Migration Cooperation in the Global South?”
